When we accept Jesus as our Savior our life is transformed by His grace and by the precious blood of Jesus! My life is now in Jesus and Jesus is in me! 2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Are we going to conform to this world or be transformed by renewing our mind to the Word of God? When you are born again according to Colossians 3, we are risen with Christ and we are to seek those things from above. We are dead to the things of this world and our life is in Jesus. Jesus is our all in all!
Really there is only two choices in this world. You choose to live for God or you choose to live for the devil. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:2 to not be conformed to this world but be transformed by renewing our mind to the Word of God. I John 2:17 tells us that this world will pass away but he that does the will of God will abide forever. This world does not offer much but God can give you love, peace, joy and eternal life with Him!
Jude tells us in verse 3 to contend for the faith. We must as believers stand our ground on the truth of God's Word and Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. God's truth never changes! Are you prepared to stand and contend for the truth of God's Word? Does your life show the love of God to others? Contend (strive) to be the best Jesus others around you see!
John 16:33, I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] Daily life in this world's system can bring distress and suffering but when you are secure in Jesus you can have His peace that passes all understanding!
We continue with life changing words for 2020. We come to the altar of God and accept Jesus as our Savior. We now have peace with God through Jesus. John 14: 27, Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge. Let His peace permeate your spirit, soul and body!
Accept Jesus as your Savior and experience real peace. Life changing words from the Living God can change my life to His purpose, will and plan for my life. According Romans 5:1, when we are made righteous by asking to forgive us of our sins we have peace with God through Jesus. True peace that will sustain you through any storm of life!
Jesus is our peace. In Matthew 8:26, Jesus spoke to the storm and said, "Peace be still." As we trust in Jesus you can speak to the storms in your life and say, "Peace be still." There are so many things in the natural that will try to stop your walk with God. Let nothing stand between you and your relationship with Jesus. Jesus brings great peace in the midst of any storm of life!
As we continue the story of Gideon, God called him a mighty man of valor. Gideon submitted or surrendered himself to God and what He wanted done. Gideon realized that he was talking to the Lord face to face. He became afraid but the Lord told him in Judges 6:23 to not be afraid. Gideon then built an altar to the Lord and named it "The Lord is Peace". Gideon defeated an army with only 300 men. Gideon had peace in turbulent times!
Inner peace in trying times only comes from Jesus as the Prince of Peace. In Judges 6 the children of Israel cried out to the Lord because they were in turmoil or unrest. God sent Gideon to help them get their peace back. We will continue with Jehovah Shalom, the Lord our peace next week!

Come and worship with us, hear the Word of God and pray.
We enjoy seeing lives transformed by the Word and power of God. We offer the truth of the Word of God and His presence in every service.
Jesus, I ask You to forgive me of my sins. I want You to come and live in my heart. You are my Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and arose from the dead and with my mouth I confess You as my Savior.
Thank You for saving me, amen!
Romans 10:9-10, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
